CAD Plant 3D course exposes students to the design of piping systems and components using computer software. Students will learn to use CAD Plant 3D software to produce connections of piping system in 3D models. This course covers the method of creating structures, creating equipment, editing specifications, routing pipes, adding valves, fittings, pipe supports, and creating isometric drawings using CAD software. The design of 3D models can be converted to isometric and orthographic drawings used in manufacturing and services industry. Students are exposed to the principles and good practices in 3D modeling of Plant Design and the use of appropriate technologies, methodologies in managing the computer-aided environment.
